Pupils in UK raise £570 for Kujali

A number of pupils from The Sacred Heart Language College in Harrow Wealdstone organised a school Bake Sale and a ‘Strictly Staff’s Got Talent’ competition to raise funds for Kujali's School Fees project.

In preparation for the bake sale on the 24th of October, the pupils baked, and brought in cupcakes, rocky road bites, Malteaser cakes, flapjacks, millionaire shortbreads and many more delicious treats!

The bake sale was held during the lunch hour and was planned to last half an hour. However, the enthusiasm was underestimated and so all was sold out after just 15 minutes! It was a huge success and an astonishing total of £300 was raised thanks to all of the generous donations and efforts put into the bake sale.

On Wednesday the 28th of November, a number of Year 11 students from the Sacred Heart Language College in Harrow Wealdstone put together a ‘Strictly Staff’s Got Talent’ competition to raise funds for Kujali's School Fees project. A number of staff from the Sacred Heart Language College participated and were incredibly happy to share their amazing talents to help raise money for Kujali. There was singing, dancing, comedy and many more remarkable hidden talents that the teachers had to share with the school. The event was held after school and required a large amount of coordination but the organisers were very well prepared and together, they raised £266.60 to donate to the charity.

The total £566.60 raised will pay for one full terms fees (with change!) for the 23 orphans that Kujali is currently supporting in Zimbabwe. Thank you to all of the generous donations and efforts by the students and teachers of the Sacred Heart Language College!
